After studying Exercise Science at Miami of Ohio, Julie graduated from the Physical Therapy program at University of Illinois, Chicago in 1997. For almost 20 years, Julie has truly enjoyed her work as a PT and has continued her education with extensive classes to enhance her manual and treatment skills. This includes training and being certified in Dry Needling by Dr. Yun-Tao Ma (American Dry Needling Institute) and as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
She has found success for her patients with an individualized combination of manual skills and functional exercise progressions. She enjoys working with runners, golfers, gymnasts, and athletes of all kind, as well as general orthopedics of ALL ages. Injuries are not usually isolated, so she assesses and treats her patient comprehensively to maximize his/her recovery. Julie moved with her family to Colorado from the Chicago area a few years ago and LOVES it here!
Mountains have always been a love to either hike, ski down or just look at, and now she can do this anytime. Outside of work, you may see her enjoying the sunshine with her husband (sun is not like this in the Midwest!), or managing the busy schedules or her 9 year old daughter and 7 year old son, as her other daughter (1 1/2 years) tries to keep up!
